Filipino Dog Askal or Aspin

When my kids first arrive in the Philippines, they wanted a dog.

Their ideal dog is big, gentle, and friendly like their first and only dog (male and female labradors) while growing up back in the states.  They discussed among themselves that they will only adopt or pick a dog that looks like Bo & Lora (Labradors).

When they first meet their aunt's dog "Toytoy", a scrawny looking and "not so smart" aspin, they were so elated and entertained of how jolly and dumb the dog is. Toytoy does not know any commands and just be his own happy & crazy self, delighted to meet new person that his owner knew well.

Their aunt who temporarily stayed with us for six weeks decided to bring his dog with her because of my kids' reaction with Toytoy.  My sister decided to leave her dog behind because the kids does not want Toytoy to go no matter how much she promised them she will find them a pretty labrador-liked puppy.

A month later, their aunt visited with a tiny female "askal" puppy which my kids adored and tried to teach Toytoy to be nice and treat it like his own baby😆... and they named her "Cat" because it looks like a tiny kitten.  According to my sister she got it because her neighbor is begging her to take one or the whole litter of puppies.
